Post Commander Rodriguez is a "GOLD LEGACY LIFE MEMBER" and has previously held the positions of "Post Jr. Vice Commander" and "Post Sr. Vice Commander" at Post 7096. He served 6 years with 3rd Battalion 6th Marines Regiment and the 2nd Battalion 25th Marines Regiment. He served in several peace-keeping operations across the globe as part of the 24th (MEUSOC) Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable & Joint Task Force-160 onboard the below listed ships.

His personal awards consist of the following: Joint Meritorious Unit Award Ribbon w/ Gold Frame Attachment, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/ Bronze Star Device, Coast Guard Special Operations Ribbon w/ Bronze Star Device, United Nations Peace Keeping Medal, New York State Medal for Merit, & NYS Conspicuous Service Star w/ Silver NYS Shield Device.

In addition to being a VFW Legacy Gold Life Member, he is also a Life Member of the VFW National Home for Children and a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans.  In his spare time, he volunteers with Team Rubicon as a "GREYSHIRT", and as a "Bureau Battle Buddy" providing direct support to Veterans returning home and to work as Federal Bureau of Prisons' employees. He continues to serve his country for the past 25+ years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and is married with 2 sons in college.
