Post Commander Rodriguez is a "GOLD LEGACY LIFE MEMBER" and has previously held the positions of "Post Jr. Vice Commander" and "Post Sr. Vice Commander" at Post 7096. He served 6 years with 3rd Battalion 6th Marines Regiment and the 2nd Battalion 25th Marines Regiment. He served in several peace-keeping operations across the globe as part of the 24th (MEUSOC) Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable & Joint Task Force-160 onboard the below listed ships.

His personal awards consist of the following: Joint Meritorious Unit Award Ribbon w/ Gold Frame Attachment, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/ Bronze Star Device, Coast Guard Special Operations Ribbon w/ Bronze Star Device, United Nations Peace Keeping Medal, New York State Medal for Merit, & NYS Conspicuous Service Star w/ Silver NYS Shield Device.

In addition to being a VFW Legacy Gold Life Member, he is also a Life Member of the VFW National Home for Children and a Life Member of  the Disabled American Veterans.  In his spare time he volunteers with Team Rubicon as a "GREYSHIRT", and as a "Bureau Battle Buddy" providing direct support to Veterans returning home and to work as Federal Bureau of Prisons' employees. He continues to serve his country for the past 24 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and is married with 2 teenage sons.
