Born in Derry,Pa  6/16/65
Youngest of 7 children and the only boy.

Graduated Derry High School
June of 1983
Entered US ARMY 1983

Completed basic training as a combat medic at Ft Sam Houston, TX

6/18/85 Earl graduated as a Special Forces Medical Sgt (18D) and served with the 7 th Special Forces Group.

1987 Earl attended the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta ( SFOD-D) selection course.
While assigned to Delta on

His missions included:
Liberation of Panama Operation Just Cause
And Operations in Iraq Operation Desert Storm

Earl had numerous awards and qualifications:
Bronze Star
Purple Heart
Meritorious Service
Joint Service Commendation Medal
Master Parachute Badge
HALO Badge
Special Forces and Ranger tabs

Earl was driven to do his very best at every endeavor and was always successful.

It was his dedication to every mission that lead him to the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia on October 3, 1993.

Earl received the Silver Star posthumously for distinguished gallantry as he was fighting his way to rescue the crew of a downed MH-60 helicopter.

Earl will always be remembered as a true soldier n quiet professional and always keeping within the tradition of the UNITED STATES ARMY SPECIAL FORCES.

*There is an Army Medical Clinic in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania named after Earl.

*The movie BLACK HAWK DOWN and the books are about Earl and the dedicated soldiers who died that day in Somalia on 10/3/93

*Earl is buried at Ft. Bragg Special Forces cemetery
