Ismael Rodriguez, 94, of Allentown, PA, was a Life Member of Post 7096 along with his Son Richard USAF, Grandsons Anthony USN, & Brian USMC. He died on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Jewel Health Care Nursing Home in Allentown. His wife, Lydia E. (Martinez) Rodriguez died in 2013. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Julio and Fermina (Rodriguez) Rodriguez. He was a Shipping Clerk for the former Pearl-Wick Furniture Company in Long Island City, NY for more than 25 years until retiring.
Survivors: Sons, Gilbert, Julio, & Richard, Daughter, Jeanette, 10 Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Son, Charles in 2021.
He was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War with the 3rd Infantry Division, 65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion, Heavy Mortar Company. The members of the 65th called themselves "Borinqueneers"
